Goldblatt is a tool of the highest order and I say that as a compliment. His book was a funny, easy read and anyone with a tool in his/her family should check this out. I hope he writes another.
Not a bad book but not a great one either. It does say some things that need saying, though.
Perhaps it's the similarities between Goldblatt and me, but as I read, I was laughing out loud--in doctors' offices, the train, the laundromat. The essays are funny and honest, and while personal, describe experiences and feelings we all share. Highly recommended.
